Lewis Center, Ohio, 2014
Visitors to Columbus and Franklin County Metro Parks renovated nature center will get a hands-on understanding of the park’s distinctive geology and forests, and the wildlife and plants that call it home. InterActive Group developed an updated visitor strategy and exhibit program to give visitors a 21st century rethinking of the traditional nature center experience.
Visitors will:
- Step into a life-size sculpted sycamore tree to learn about tree biology and the animals that depend on them.
- Encounter a prehistoric Dunkleosteous, a fearsome carnivore that roamed this area nearly 400 million years ago.
- Explore a sculpted rock wall with interactive features illustrating the way the areas’s geology developed and shaped the land we see today.
- Learn more about the birds that make the park a destination for bird watching and study.
